CRTS extragalactic transient spectra archive.
A.J. Drake, July 30th, 2025.
Revision 1, December 4th, 2025.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This file contains the spectra of CRTS extragalactic transients discovered between 2007 and 2019.
These sources contained are predominatly supernovae. Details of the object classifications are
given in Table 1 in this archive.

When using these spectra please cite: Drake, A.J., et al. 2025, MNRAS, 544, 1373.

Individual .dat files contain spectra with columns for the wavelength (in angstroms) and flux (in ergs).
Each files is labelled with the CRTS transient event ID (which includes the discovery date and the
rough coords of the object), the telescope, and the spectrum's observation date.

Although almost all of the spectra have been calibrated using standard stars, due to the varying
reductions techniques employed, observing conditions, and the range of instruments used, the spectra
should NOT be considered to be calibrated to absolute accuracy.

The instruments used are included in the filename as:
P200 (Palomar 200" + DBSP),
Keck (Keck 10m + LRIS),
GEMN (Gemini 8m North + GMOS),
GEMS (Gemini 8m South + GMOS),
SMARTS (SMARTS 1.5m + RC-spec)
GTC (Gran Telescopio CANARIA 10m + OSIRIS)
